Pollo Tropical “It Takes Two” is a food commercial directed and photographed by Director of Photography Sherman Johnson for Zipper Films. Produced by Yiya Garcia and filmed in Miami, Florida, the campaign was created to promote Pollo Tropical’s churrasco steak and signature chimichurri sauce. The film focuses on the preparation of both elements, following the process from fresh ingredients to finished dish. Flame-grilled churrasco, fresh parsley, garlic, olive oil, and chimichurri preparation are featured through a series of detailed food photography sequences that highlight texture, color, and craftsmanship. Photographed on the ARRI Alexa Mini with ARRI Ultra Prime lenses, the visual approach combines macro food photography, close-up preparation details, and controlled lighting to emphasize the relationship between the grilled steak and freshly prepared chimichurri sauce. Flames rising from the grill, slicing of the finished churrasco, and the preparation of fresh ingredients are used throughout to create an appetizing and tactile portrait of the dish.
